Because we’re an entrepreneurial company, you won’t face the red tape of a large corporate structure and will gain exposure performing accounting for various properties, managing both the accounts receivable and payables function of multiple P&Ls.

Property Accountant – Your Job Duties:

You will work alongside the company Controller to support the accounting for up to 16+ properties.

You will:

• Own the accounts payable process including obtaining daily invoice approvals, process accounts payables, track work orders and purchase orders
• Post daily accounts payables for each of the properties you perform accounting for
• Communicate with on site Managers, vendors and others regarding any questions related to accounts payables
• Support accounts receivable including customer billings, tracking of lien releases on construction projects, following up on outstanding invoices to collect payment
• Create customized billings for assigned area of corporate office receivables. Examples include payroll, insurances, credit cards and other payments made on behalf of managed facilities. Posting payments and monitoring the aging reports for assigned receivables.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with budget uploads into ERP system and performance of budget to actual variance analysis
• Collaborate with Controller to record title statements for land purchases and loans
• Communicate with tenants regarding invoicing, payments and reconciliation of annual expenses
• Ensure accuracy of monthly debt service payment and interest calculations
• Support document control and filing – maintain up to date accounting records and filing

Property Accountant - Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit

You have:

• A passion for accounting – you love when the account reconciles
• Knowledge of debits and credits and GAAP accounting including AP and AR functions / bookkeeping
• A desire to learn property accounting – you will gain tons of experience and exposure to grow!
• Very strong MS Excel skills - pivot tables, large multi-tab spreadsheets and complex Excel formulas
• Self-directed and “figure things out” personality and comfort working autonomously
• Ability to work in office in Roseville daily with the team
• Prior experience using the Yardi ERP system (desired, not required)

Your compensation will be $70,000 salary
