Overview:
The Maternity Unit Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team and ensuring quality patient care for expectant mothers in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery department.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
AHA BLS certification.
Completion of NYS-approved Phlebotomy training.
EKG training.
2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience.
Responsibilities:
Support the clinical team with daily patient care tasks.
Assist in labor and delivery procedures.
Conduct EKGs and blood draws.
Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
Keep patient records updated in compliance with hospital standards.
